RNLI Queensferry is looking to add a number of new members to its volunteer lifeboat crew.
The team is looking for anyone who lives in the local area, and who is enthusiastic and dedicated with the time and availability to commit to training and being on call.
RNLI trainee crew members will have the opportunity to take part in extensive training in every skill required by the position. Therefore a marine background is not essential, as long as you are keen to learn.
Two drop-in recruitment sessions will be held at RNLI Queensferry Lifeboat Station, Hawes Pier, South Queensferry, this Saturday, March 18, noon-2pm; and Thursday, March 23, 7-9pm.
If you are unable to make it at either of these times but are interested in learning more then contact the team by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Becoming a part of the crew requires a degree of physical fitness and discipline, as well as a willingness to learn.
RNLI crew can be called out at any time of the day or night and you will need to have the ability to commit to being available to respond to the pager when you are on call. The team is especially keen to recruit new crew members who may have availability midweek during the day, although this is not essential.
