A further five people have been charged with housebreaking offences under Operation RAC.

Police in Winchburgh
attended an address in Glendevon Avenue on
February 28 following a break-in at the address.

A number of electrical items worth £1300 were stolen and officers conducted local enquiries to trace those responsible.

As a result, two men aged 18 were arrested following a search of a property in Dunn Place. Both have since been charged and will appear in court at a later date.

And a 27-year-old man and 26-year-old woman have now been reported to the Procurator Fiscal following a break-in and theft in
Linlithgow Bridge last year.

Two cars were stolen from the address, with one being found burnt out in Gartcosh later that evening and the other being traced to Whitecross the following day.

The pair have been reported for four separate housebreaking offences within Linlithgow Bridge as well as a number of Road Traffic Act offences.

Chief Inspector Kevin Kerr said: “Operation RAC teams continue to pursue various lines of enquiry to bring housebreakers in West Lothian to justice.”
