Rory Thomson (46) appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having admitted threatening behaviour – shouting, swearing, making threats of violence and brandishing a knife at police officers – at his Welldale, 7 Park Terrace, Brightons home on May 1.

Sheriff Christopher Shead stated he appreciated the fact that the circumstances of the case were “unusual”.

He placed Thomson, who required to use the court’s hearing loop system, on a structured deferred sentence for six months to January 19, 2023.
