The housebreaking happened in Joseph Cumming Gardens between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on Sunday (February 19), when the suspects - caught red-handed - made their escape in a white Audi hatchback.

The crooks had parked it at the dead end of Holmes Road, between Badger Park and Joseph Cumming Gardens, and used it to make their escape when their crime was interrupted.

Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area, and who have seen either the car or anyone who was acting suspiciously.

Constable Julias Nyamakanga of the Community Investigation Unit at Bathgate said: “There may have been a number of dog walkers who walked past the white car when it was parked and we are keen to hear from them.

“Additionally anyone who has seen this car in Holmes Road is asked to come forward.”

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively, the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
