Andrew York, 19, 182 Glasgow Road, Camelon, pleaded guilty to possessing a knife at an address in Union Road on February 16.

York’s defence solicitor, Dick Sandeman, told Sheriff Derek Hamilton a report on his client was unavailable.

Mr Sandeman added: “His address hasn’t changed and he hasn’t seen either of the two letters sent to him. He’s not sure why that is.”

The solicitor suggested a further deferment so York could engage with social workers.

However, as he addressed York, Sheriff Derek Hamilton said: “The obligation is on you to contact the social work department to make a suitable appointment for the report to be prepared for the court.

“If you come back here again and there’s no report, you’ll go into custody.”

Sentence was adjourned until May 6.

York’s bail was continued.
