Dealer gets community service order

A drug dealer has six months to complete 160 hours community service - or go to jail.

Forbes Johnston (29) was sentenced at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday for selling Class A diamorphine.

The court heard he is already subject to a drug treatment order for previous offences but with the support of his family is ready to “move forward” with his life.

Sheriff Craig Caldwell warned Johnston, of Grangepans, Bo’ness: “You have done relatively well with that part of the order and that’s to your credit. Custody could undo the good work that has been done, but this community payback order is a direct alternative. Stay out of trouble.”
