Denny offender: 'After my supervision is over you're getting done in'

Robert McInally (41) appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having admitted behaving in a threatening manner towards his ex partner at an address in Watling Street, Camelon on May 2.
Procurator fiscal depute Rebecca Reid said: “During the call the accused said something similar to ‘when my supervision is finished in September you’re going to get hunted down’ and ‘you’re going to get kicked’, ‘you’ll no’ be walking away – you won’t be able to see for months after I’ve stuck my foot right in your face’.

Gordon Addison, defence solicitor, said McInally had a low IQ and did not realise he did not need to be in the presence of his ex partner to breach his court orders.
Mr Addison said: “For weeks leading up to this incident he had been getting six of seven messages a night from her calling him a inbred and calling him and his family inbreeds.”
The court heard the couple got divorced on Valentine’s Day last year.

Hide AdSheriff Derek Livingston said: “The contents of the phone call were quite appalling.”
He placed McInally, 34 Bridge Crescent, Denny, of a supervised community payback order for three years and told him to complete 216 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
McInally was also made subject to a non-harassment order meaning he cannot contact his ex partner or enter Watling Street, Camelon for five years.
