Grangemouth man caused former partner fear and alarm

A man has been ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work after causing his former partner fear and alarm.

James Robertson (36), 55 Poplar Street, appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday having previously admitted that between September 16 and December 14 last year at addresses in Rumford, Grangemouth and elsewhere he engaged in conduct which caused his former partner fear and alarm.

He repeatedly contacted her via email, text and social media to utter threats and abusive comments; he attended her home uninvited and simultaneously sent emails with threats; he contacted her daughter and requested she pass messages and he contact her friend via social media stating she gave him a sexually transmitted disease.
