Hallglen bail breaker warned he's a 'whisker away' from jail

An offender who breached his bail conditions when he phoned someone he was not supposed to was hit with a hefty fine and told he risked his freedom if he failed to toe the line again.

Kristopher Hood (35) appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday having pled guilty to the breach he committed in Tiree Place, Hallglen on May 18.

Sheriff Derek Hamilton said: “You’re a whisker away from custody – if you don’t comply with this order then you’re going to prison.”

Hood, who now lives at 37 Ravenswood, Forth, Lanark, was fined the sum of £1000 which he was ordered to pay back at a rate of £75 per week.

He was also made subject to an eight-month restriction of liberty order to stay in his home from 10.30pm to 4.30pm from Monday to Friday, from 10.30pm to midnight on Saturday and 10pm to 10am on Sunday.
