Thieves made off with £26,000 of designer clothing from Golfposer last Wednesday in the second Mill Road Industrial Estate break-in in three weeks.

The break-in, which took place at around 1.20am on February 18, continues to be investigated by police.

Items taken were predominantly Hugo Boss shirts, shorts and trousers.

The most expensive piece of stock looted was a Galvin Green jacket worth £350.

Detective Constable Douglas Gilmour said: “This was a high-value theft.

“I would ask anyone who believes they have been offered these stolen goods to please get in touch with us immediately.

“Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity around the store in the early hours of Wednesday, or who has information relevant to this, should also get in touch.”

The news of the robbery came just 18 days after Play Bugs soft play centre, also on the industrial estate, was broken into.

Police are currently working to trace the suspect/s.

Anyone with potentially useful information regarding either of these incidents is encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
