A man is now in custody following a police helicopter search in Bo’ness for a person they believe was responsible for a serious assault.

The force helicopter was involved earlier today, Friday, supported by a heavy police presence in the town.

A Police Scotland spokesman said a man is now in custody, and there is no ongoing concern for the community.

Eyewitness, Davie Baxter, (65) who was driving in the town around 11am on Friday described the police activity: “I was driving along when I saw the police helicopter circling above the town. Then the next thing I knew I had police vehicles screaming past me with their lights and sirens on, so there’s obviously something big going on.”
