Overnight cell stay for dozy Stenhousemuir offender

David Nowyk (38) had to be taken out of court one at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday because he could not stay awake.

Nowyk, 95 Alloa Road, Stenhousemuir, had pled guilty to attempted break-ins in Cross Street, Bainsford on November 23 last year.

Sheriff Derek Livingston asked Nowyk why he appeard to be so tired and he said he had been up all night worrying about his court appearance.

Sheriff Livingston remanded him in custody until the following day.
