Three burglars who were involved in a car chase which ended in Linlithgow have been remanded in custody.

The three, who have been named by the Crown Office as: Dean Malone (19), Scott Malone (22), and Mark Malone (3),1 all of no fixed abode, are believed to be responsible for a crime spree across the Lothians.

Officers spotted a car which was linked to a number of break-ins. The air support unit was then deployed to pursue the vehicle which was then followed as it travelled 
into West Lothian.

Other specialist resources including traffic officers and the dog unit were involved and the men gave themselves up in Linlithgow.

Appearing at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on May 28 all three were remanded for further enquiries and appeared again on June 4 at Livingston Sheriff Court where they were fully committed and again remanded in custody.
