Dig In at the Dock 2014 is set to return to the streets of Bo’ness next year.

The cyclocross race event sold out within 23 minutes of going live on the internet with organisers now facing the challenge of sifting through the substantial number of riders on the waiting list.

The event returns to West Lothian on January 5 and sees top riders from England, Scotland and Ireland competing against Commonwealth Games medallists, and British and Scottish champions in what promises to be the biggest and best Dig In at the Dock yet.

Top named riders already signed up are Scottish Pro James McCallum, Rab Wardell and Gareth Montgomerie, as well as Tour of Britain sensation Ben Greenwood. Event organiser, John McComisky said: “We are always completely overwhelmed by the interest in the event which is now in its third year, Bo’ness should be really proud that it has this cycle race to showcase the town and Foreshore area, as we are hoping that the local residents come down to support the race just as they did in 2012/13.
