Queensferry community choir Dalmeny Blend this week launched new charity CD.
Entitled “Dalmeny Blend Sings Gospel”, the CD is a fundraiser for the Bo’ness based charity On Eagle’s Wings, who will put the money towards a mobile leprosy clinic in India.
The CD contains American spirituals, old favourites like Amazing Grace and the Battle Hymn of the Republic, and two new songs composed by members of the choir.
Sue McPhail, the choir’s musical director said: “The project has really drawn the choir together, and the sound of the songs reflects the commitment and pleasure we had recording them.”
The choir was formed in 2007 to encourage people to come and improve their singing technique, learn new songs and enjoy making music together. It now numbers around 20 members.
The choirs sing a range of music including folk songs, show songs, Queen to Christmas carols. For more information on the CD call Sue McPhail on 07500 381 377 or firstname.lastname@example.org
