MOTORISTS can expect expect delays this week on the B9080 (Stirling Road) as preparatory work for the new Forth Replacement Crossing takes place.

Short term traffic disruption is expected on the road, between Kirkliston and Winchburgh, as the new M9 Junction 1a motorway bridge decks are put into place.

The works are scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 30, and last for up to five days. Traffic will be stopped at various times for up to 30 minutes between 9.30am and 3.30pm and again between 7pm and midnight.

SRB Civil Engineering Limited, who are carrying out works at Junction 1a apologise for any inconvenience caused to motorists and ask for patience while the new Newmains Bridge is constructed.
