An interim principal has been appointed at Donaldson’s School in Linlithgow while its management team remain suspended.

The Journal and Gazette reported in September that principal Janice MacNeill and headteacher Mary O’Brien were suspended by the board of Donaldson’s, while an investigation was carried out into whether correct procedures were followed in a case of alleged inappropriate behaviour by another member of staff in 2009.

Former headteacher Margaret Burnell, who previously taught Special Needs in Ayrshire, has been appointed as interim principal.
