Exam advice

exams may be just around the corner but the advice is ‘don’t panic!’

The message from West Lothian head teachers is for secondary school pupils to get their heads down if they haven’t already started studying.

Gordon Ford, depute chief executive for education, said: “There is no doubt that exams can be stressful. A proper planned programme of study is the key to exam success. All secondary schools are running extra study sessions and of course, if you need help – now is the time to ask. A number of master classes and weekend study classes have also been organised.”

For pupils trying to focus their minds, advice is available online on websites including GLOW, Scholar and the SQA. The SQA website also includes past exam papers and the ability to register for results.
