The Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival will be extra special for Queen Maddison Chapman as she will be following in the footsteps of her mum.
Heather Chapman was Queen back in 1989 and is fully aware of how big an occasion the Bo’ness Fair is.
She said: “I have people coming up to me in the streets saying they remember the year I was Queen, that is how memorable the Fair is to locals.
The Chapman family have an incredibly long day ahead of them next Friday however proud mum Heather has assured Maddison it is all worth it and the Grange Primary School pupil will have a really enjoyable day.
Maddison said: “My mum has told me to make the most of it and take it all in as it will be over before I know it.”
Friday will be an early rise for the Chapman clan who have to get Maddison to the hairdressers and back before she is picked up by a limo and taken to Grange Primary School for the start of the procession.
Maddison will then be crowned by Helenore Watt, in front of the crowd, at Glebe Park before the procession begins at noon heading for Douglas Park.
