A food co-operative has been launched in Linlithgow which offers a range of organic foodstuffs.
The EH49 Food Co-op opened as a pop-up shop in the town’s masonic hall at Market Lane last week and already it has had over 20 customers.
With support from environmental charity Transition Linlithgow, the co-operative is being run as a three-month pilot project to initially gauge the public’s interest.
Fresh vegetables are being sourced both locally and from the Cyrenians’ Farm, with bread and jams available from Breadshare and Tiphereth.
Members of the public can choose items online with the produce available for pick up at the pop-up shop on Fridays.
