Officials at the Forth Road Bridge have taken the decision to close the crossing after winds of up to 84mph were recorded this afternoon.
The decision was taken just after 1.30pm today (Monday) following earlier warnings that Storm Henry could lead to a full closure later this evening.
An inspection will need to be undertaken before the bridge can be re-opened.
