FAMILIES are set to flock to Kinneil Estate in Bo’ness this Sunday (August 25) for the park’s annual heritage event.
Kinneil House will be open and there will be a host of activities in the surrounding parkland.
Look out for craft workshops, face painting, archery, a climbing wall and charity stalls and, best of all, the event is free.
The family day has been organised by Falkirk Community Trust with the support of Falkirk Council, The Friends of Kinneil charity and Historic Scotland.
Councillor Adrian Mahoney, Falkirk Council’s tourism convener, urged local people to go along and join in the fun. He said: “This is a great free event for all the family. Kinneil House will be open for tours from noon-4pm with the last admission at 3.30pm. Events in the surrounding estate start at 12.30p.m. on Sunday. Hopefully there will be something for everyone.”
Kinneil House dates back to the 15th century and boasts some of the best Renaissance wall paintings in Scotland.
