The latest bus between Linlithgow and Edinburgh is now an hour earlier and travellers fear they are losing out.
The FirstBus decision on the 38 and the X38 service made last month has attracted complaints from passengers on Monday to Thursday, when the last bus from Stirling is now at 9.30pm and the last to leave Edinburgh is at 11.30pm.
Bruce Henderson of Main Street, Winchburgh was appalled saying: “This is a disgrace. I thought the purpose of a public bus service was to serve the purposes of the public, not the greed of the operator.”
The 38 service runs from Stirling to Linlithgow, and the X38 goes from Camelon through Linlithgow to Edinburgh.
A First Scotland East spokesman said the “difficult decision” made to change the service was introduced on April 15, as only a handful of passengers used it, and operating costs were not being covered.
