Staff at The Corbie Inn were celebrating after winning their second consecutive Best Bar None gold award.
This year’s presentation to pubs and clubs in the Falkirk area took place in the Bo’ness venue’s new function suite on Sunday evening.
Hosted by television personality and chef Hardeep Singh Kohli, it marked the eighth year the awards have been held locally.
The scheme allows pubs and clubs to show that the premises and staff have met a standard to allow customers to enjoy a safe and welcoming visit.
As well as The Corbie Inn, gold was won by City Nightclub, Storm Nightclub, Behind the Wall, Sportsters Bar and Carron Works, all Falkirk, and the Earl of Zetland in Grangemouth.
Taking silver were North Star and The Wellington Bar in Falkirk, The Songbird in Denny and Outside Inn in Larbert. La Banca and the Newmarket Bar in Falkirk, both received accreditation.
Sarah McKenzie of Falkirk Delivers, who is the co-ordinator for the district, said: “Best Bar None focuses on customer safety and care, and each venue gaining an award has demonstrated that it meets the standards set by the Government and the alcohol industry at a national level.”
The Corbie Inn won the Heart of the Community award at the Best Bar None national awards for 2014/15 and four other Falkirk venues were shortlisted for the award.
