Golfer wins £400k payout

A NOVICE golfer has won nearly £400,000 in damages after he lost his eye when hit by a stray golf ball at a Winchburgh golf club.

Anthony Phee (44) sued both the player who struck the bad shot and Niddry Castle golf club where he was playing for the first time and secured a damages award against both last Friday.
