Residents in Queensferry are to be given an opportunity to help shape the town’s future.
The Queensferry Placemaking exercise follows on from last year’s ‘Shaping the Future of Queensferry’ report and its aim is for locals to assess the town’s strengths and weaknesses as a place in which to live and work.
The exercise, led by the town’s community council, the city council and Queensferry Ambition will be staged at Queensferry High School on Thursday, August 6, from 4-8pm and Saturday, August 8, 9am-1pm.
The event is open to all residents and will take around an hour but it will provide baseline information that will affect the future development of Queensferry.
Queensferry and District Community Council chairman Keith Giblett said: ‘‘QDCC has been working with city council planners and the LDP2 developers agents on our aspiration to deliver a town plan that the community of Queensferry can buy into.
‘‘We urge all who have an interest in the town to take the time out to attend one of the two planned events when they can express and place on record their views and concerns about the need for improvements to the towns infrastructure and how the new developments might deliver some of these improvements.”
