TWO residential properties in the Bo’ness area have been targeted by thieves in the past week.
A garden shed in Redbrae Avenue was broken into and over £1000 of tools and equipment, including drills, spanners and power tools were stolen.
The thieves then tried to gain entry to the house via the back door.
In St. John’s Way, Bo’ness over £700 of power tools, drills and accessories were stolen from a garden shed.
Again, unlawful entry was attempted at the rear patio doors of the property.
Bo’ness community constable Nicola McCafferty said: “Police are urging householders to be vigilant and to ensure that their properties and outhouses are secured.
“Any suspicious persons or vehicles should be reported to police.
“Police are also urging members of the public to inform us if they area offered any second hand tools or equipment for sale if they suspect these items to be stolen.”
