WEST Lothian is the first Scottish council to reveal its budget for the coming year.

Over 15m worth of 'unprecedented' cuts were announced on Tuesday for 2011/12.

228 jobs will go at the local authority, but with no compulsory redundancies.

Council tax has been frozen across all property bands for the fourth year in a row and 390,000 has been allocated to develop leisure facilities on council land at Kettilstoun Mains.
