Kirkliston kids are hands-on

Kirkliston Primary School’s primary seven class have been shown construction skills in a hands-on learning session, thanks to a joint initiative by Barrat Homes East Scotland and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).

The programme was designed to give children awareness of the range of careers within the industry.

25 pupils participated in the various activities, before putting their new knowledge to the test by building their own giant tetrahedron.

This will be followed by a visit to a local Barratt Homes development where they will see first-hand the skills they have learnt in action, as well as the finished product by taking a tour of the development’s show home.
