The award is in memory of the first ever Bo’ness Community Council secretary John McLaren, who also worked for the Bo’ness Journal back in the 1970s.
It is the community council which decides who receives the annual award and this year is the 28th time it has been presented.
Community council secretary Madelene Hunt was full of praise for the lady bowlers.

“These women are true local heroes.”
