The young performers from LAMP have been working hard on their latest on-stage adventure that is sure to be a smash hit with audiences.

Seussical the Musical is coming to Linlithgow and the cast are promising an excellent show.

The singers and dancers have all learned their lines and now they are ready to have a good time. The story is narrated by the Cat in the Hat, the beloved feline who thinks he’s “all that”.

The story follows Horton the elephant as he relaxes in a pool while he lives in the Jungle of Nool.

Horton discovers the planet of Whoville in a dust speck on a clover, and if you think that is crazy wait until the story is over!

The planet is in grave danger, so Horton decides the people are his to save.

No one believes anyone lives on that dust speck, so Horton is put on trial for a reality check.

The story also features Who citizen Jojo who is sent to military school.

The play is perfect for families and the colourful characters will entertain you until the end.

With the help of director Calum Campbell, choreographer Elspeth Whyte and musical director Eddie MacLennan, LAMP’s newest play is sure to be another success.

Grace Mackie has been a part of LAMP for five years and is looking forward to the show. She said: “I am really excited to take part in this years production.

“I always look forward the LAMP show each year because it gives me something to work on and takes my mind off school, if only for a few hours.

“I think that everyone should come along to see Seussical the Musical because it has been such a fun show to rehearse and the music is really good.”

Tickets for the show are available from, by phoning 07949475932 or via any cast member. The production takes place from April 4 to 9 in Linlithgow Academy at 7.30pm.
