Sports facilities in Linlithgow are getting a great new look with renovation at the Xcite Leisure Centre.

The fitness class studio and sports hall revamp at McGinley Way started this week with the studio closed from yesterday (Thursday) till August 5, and the sports hall from August 5-18. Changes will be made to the fitness class timetable and there is limited booking for the sports hall during this time.

The improvement programme includes re-sanding and re-sealing the floors and re-lining of the sports hall will for a fresh look.

The swimming pool in the leisure centre is also closed for two weeks, from last Sunday, and is estimated to re-open on Monday, August 12, due to essential maintenance works. Swimming lessons will be cancelled during this time with a new block starting on August 12.

The leisure venue is especially popular during the summer holidays, but owners are confident the disruption will be worth it.

Robin Strang, chief
executive of Xcite, said: “The improvements will be
hugely beneficial to customers at Xcite Linlithgow.

‘‘The venue is very popular and it’s important we
continue to invest in and improve our facilities. We appreciate our customers’ patience whilst the works are underway and look forward to the works being completed
before long.”
