Linlithgow man Derek Orr is poised for a massive challenge this weekend.
The software engineer will walk 100 miles to raise cash for a Rwandan school project. He intends to set out from Bowling basin on the Forth and Clyde Canal west of Glasgow around lunch-time on Sunday and walk to Lochrin Basin on the Union Canal in Edinburgh before turning round and walking back to the Falkirk Wheel, where he should arrive around 3pm the following day. His target in sponsorship is £2000 and he is already halfway there. If you want to make a donation go to https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/RwandaWalk
