Barnardo’s first placed children in a family setting more than 10 years ago - today the need for a secure loving home still remains.

Barnardo’s Scotland continues to place children and young people in secure homes but there is a shortage of carers. The charity is keen to hear from people living in West Lothian who are thinking about becoming a foster carer and urges them to make that call.

Stephanie Stone, Barnardo’s Scotland assistant director for fostering and adoption said: “The reward from being a foster carer is knowing you are helping young people through emotional problems and seeing them enjoy life instead of
burdened by other people’s actions.”
