Man attacked by thugs in Blackburn

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in a house in Blackburn on Friday night (April 13).

The 26-year-old man was attacked in the property in Mosside Drive by four men who burst into his house about 11.30pm.

The victim was dragged to the ground and assault, suffering cuts to his face body and arm where he had been punched and kicked.

An ambulance was contacted and the victim was taken to St John’s Hospital, Livingston, where he was treated for his injuries and subsequently released.

There is no description available of any of the suspects.

A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Mosside Drive area on Friday night, and who may have seen a group of men acting suspiciously to contact police.

“This appears to have been an entirely unprovoked attack, and we would appeal for anyone with any information to call us on 0131 311 3131”.
