A member of the public reported to police that she had seen a man shouting abuse at two women on a train between Edinburgh Waverley and Helensburgh Central at about 10.40pm on Saturday July 2.

The women, who left the train at Uphall station, had been having a conversation and had not had any contact with the man.

The man is described as having a shaved head and was wearing a dark coloured jacket and white and blue trainers.

PC Emily Webb said: “Behaviour of this kind will absolutely not be tolerated and so it is vital that any incidents are reported to us so we can stop it happening again.

“If you were on the train, were the victims in this case or know the offender, then I urge you to get in touch with us immediately.”
