Man sought after abuse on train

Police want to trace a man in connection with threatening behaviour on a late night train.

British Transport Police (BTP) has released a CCTV image of the man would like to track down following a report of threatening and abusive behaviour on a train travelling between Glasgow and Falkirk on Monday, April 11.

The incident happened on the 22.49 Glasgow Queen Street service to Falkirk High station where the man got off the train.

BTP officers say he may be able to assist them with their enquiries. He is described as aged in his mid to late twenties, around 5ft 10ins with short black hair and a black beard.

He was wearing black tracksuit trousers, a black jacket with white shoulder panels and a dark top with the Adidas design on the front.

Detective Constable Nick Ritchie, the BTP officer in charge of the enquiry, said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man shown in the photograph to contact me as a matter of urgency.”
