A fundraising fashion show aimed at youngsters participating in this year’s Bo’ness Fair raised a bumper £300 for fair funds.

The event, staged at the Richmond Park Hotel last Friday, was organised by Angeline Thomson of Ego Boutique in South Street.

Angeline said: “The Bo’ness Fair has always been part of my life. Since opening the shop in 2012, I have been supplying dresses, shoes and accessories for the big day.

“As funds from the council for the Fair have been reduced, we need everyone’s help to ensure this a day for all the children to remember.”

She added that she wanted to give something back by staging the event and by donating a £150 dress and a £50 accessories voucher for the raffle.

Other local businesses such as Daizy Rascal, Richmond Park Hotel, Rhoddy Stewart Photography, Cherie Chique Boutique and Bo’ness Blue Restaurant also donated.

Current Fair Queen Louise Wilson was on hand to accept a cheque on behalf of the Bo’ness Fair committee.

Angeline added: “We thank everyone who participated in the fundraising fashion event, especially the local models who took part.”
