The winner of the Forth Bridges Songwriting Competition got the opportunity to climb to the top of the 50-year old structure which spans the River Forth.
The competition was staged as part of the Forth Bridges Festival, which was staged during September to mark the golden anniversary of the bridge.
Musicians were invited to compose a song in relation to the bridge and the overall winner was Craig Alan Hughs, from Edinburgh, with “The Forth Road Bridge Song”. Runners-up were Queensferry’s Tommy Mackay with “Positively Forth Bridge” and Falkirk’s Calum Baird with ‘‘By Hand and Brain.’’
As well as signing his song live, he won a trip up the bridge.
Craig is seen here with Forth Bridges Live organiser Marak Taylor.
