Legacy 2014 is offering free tickets
Legacy 2014 is offering free tickets

As a thank you to those working to create a Games legacy for Scotland, the Scottish Government announced earlier this year that it would gift tickets to a Commonwealth Games event.

To extend the reach of this Legacy Ticket gift offer, the organisers have asked your Journal and Gazette to get involved.

We would like to offer our readers the chance to nominate people from the local area – for two tickets to attend a Commonwealth Games event.

The nominations received will then be scrutinised by a panel of editorial staff from the paper, with the winning beneficiary receiving a pair of tickets to attend a Commonwealth Games event this summer.

Applicants should fulfil one or more of the following criteria:

*Young People – including Team Scotland supporters and those involved in sport at school, community or club level.

*Those who make sport happen, including volunteers.

*People who contribute to their community through volunteering or other means.

*People without the opportunity to experience the Games.

* Disadvantaged groups or those with a disability.

Nominations should be sent in writing, to: Journal and Gazette, Commonwealth Games Tickets competition, Unit 4A Gateway Business Park, Beancross Road, Grangemouth. FK3 8WX by Friday April 25.

We need your name, the name of the individual you are nominating and a brief description of how the nominee meets the criteria set out for the ticket award by the Scottish Government.

All nominees should be advised that travel and accommodation is not part of the ticket award scheme.
