Forth Crossing Bridge Constructors (FCBC) has scooped a top award and a shortlist spot at the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s 2016 National Site Awards.

The FCBC project team took home a gold award and were runners up for ‘Most Considerate Site 2016’.

It was commended for its outstanding community engagement, immaculate appearance, workforce safety and environmental consideration.

The award was given within the category of sites with a project value of £10m and over. Its award-winning Queensferry Crossing project involves building the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world.

The annual awards recognise the highest levels of consideration and care shown by sites registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme towards their local neighbourhoods, the general public, their workforce and the environment.

Mike Petter, scheme chairman said: “Congratulations to FCBC.

“This is an exceptional achievement and highlights how Considerate Constructors Scheme-registered sites are continually raising standards way above and beyond statutory requirements.”
