A NEW dementia cafe opens in Linlithgow on April 17 for those who suffer from the condition and their carers.

The cafe will be based at the Lowport Centre on Blackness Road and will be a meeting point for people of all ages to receive support and enjoy social activities, on the third Wednesday of the month, from 10am-noon.

Volunteers are being trained by Alzheimer Scotland and, if the cafe is a
success, it is hoped it will open more than once a month.

The cafe will be run by Linlithgow Link in partnership with Linlithgow Churches and Alzheimer Scotland.
