This year’s summer musical spectacular Party at the Palace 2015 has teamed up with McEwan’s to deliver a cracker of a weekend.
And this week the Journal and Gazette can exclusively reveal the acts topping the bill.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Linlithgow Palace, this year’s weekend festival is set to be a highlight in Scotland’s live music calendar.
Headlining on Saturday, August 8, will be Travis, supported by The Feeling, Justin Currie, Horse and Little Eye. Topping the bill on Sunday, August 9, will be CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers, Scouting For Girls, Julie Fowlis and The Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
This year, PATP have opened up the festival to bands and artists from all over the UK and further afield to create a real party atmosphere in Linlithgow.
Organiser John Richardson said: “It’s incredible that we have managed to attract a truly global megastar like Nile to come to Linlithgow.
“The town won’t know what’s hit it! You only have to look at his back catalogue of hits from Chic to David Bowie, Duran Duran to Daft Punk to appreciate just what a show this is going to be.
“We’re also excited for the return of Travis to Scotland. It’ll be their only Scottish date this year and with a new album on the way, this will be a bit of a homecoming gig.
“They have a bucketful of anthems so we know that they’ll have our crowd singing along all night.”
The addition of CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers gives an international flavour yet the essence of great British music at is at the core of the line up.
The timing couldn’t be better for Nile as 2015 brings the long awaited release of his first studio album in 23 years.
Nile said: “We are all thrilled to be coming back to Scotland this summer.
“I’ve played some great venues around the world in my time but performing in such a magnificent setting will be really special.
“Scottish audiences are always pretty lively too so it’s bound to be a memorable night.”
