It’s that time of year again, when you have the chance to make sure someone you know receives the recognition they deserve for their volunteer work in your community.
Nominations are invited for the Volunteer of the Year Awards 2015 run by Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian.
You may know someone who willingly gives up their free time to help an individual or voluntary organisation delivering a worthwhile service in West Lothian. Nominations are invited in twelve categories.
Some of the categories are Volunteer of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Manager of the Year, Volunteer Group of the Year and the Active Citizenship Award.
This year a new category has been included for Uniformed Organisation of the Year.
The independent judging panel will be selected from the public, private and voluntary sector. Judges will be looking at the type of voluntary work and degree of commitment amongst other areas.
If you would like to nominate an individual or volunteer group for any of the categories, then contact the Voluntary Sector Gateway on 01506 650111 or email them at: firstname.lastname@example.org
