Party at the Palace organisers believe next year’s event will be bigger and better than before after winning a top award.
The music event won the Best Outdoor Festival title at this year’s Scottish Outdoor and Leisure Awards, staving off competition from Loch Lomond Food and Drink, Live@Troon and Mull of Kintyre music festival.
The event, which attracted over 15,000 music fans to the town this summer, boasted a number of big names including the Proclaimers, Big Country, Erasure and Billy Ocean in the line up,
And organisers say 2017 promises to be even better with quality acts, more choice of food and drink, and improved toilet facilities.
John Richardson, Party at the Palace director, said: “We are excited about next year, previously, we’ve been nervous but now we are really looking forward to it.
“We are speaking to a couple of bands if we get one or both I think we will beat this year.
“We have been listening to all the feedback we’ve had from people and some of the criticism is perfectly valid and we will aim to put that right next year.”
John says they have already sold thousands of tickets for 2017 and underlined the importance of the festival to the town.
He said: “It’s all about bringing new faces to Linlithgow. It’s a great lift for the place with bars full and hotels booked up and it’s good for other local businesses too.”
The line up for 2017 has yet to be announced but tickets are already on sale. Next year’s event will take place on August 12 and 13.
