Party at the Palace organisers have handed an early Christmas present to the 4th West Lothian Scouts to help them replace the Scout hut roof.
John Richardson, of promoters PDF said: “Through our partner Linlithgow Plus we made a donation to the scouts of £500 to assist them with the replacement of the scout hall roof.
‘‘This was always one of the purposes of the event to try and support local good causes where possible.”
Another development is that BBC Scotland is poised to film a pilot episode for a proposed ‘‘fly-on-the-wall’’ documentary surrounding Party at the Palace but details are sketchy at the moment.
Organisers have also revealed to us, exclusively, that next year’s musical extravaganza won’t be an all Scottish line-up, with responses awaited from three Scottish headline acts, two groups from the London area as well as an act from the USA.
In addition, Heart FM have now agreed a partnership deal with the event and a major sponsor is in the process of being signed up.
Advance ticket sales are exceeding all expectations according to organisers, with the Saturday slightly outselling the Sunday by a small margin.
On a year-by-year basis comparison the figures show current tickets sales are ahead of those for this year’s event.
