Baby of the week: Tamfourhill tot Ellie Hunter

Mum Jennifer Hunter, 34, and dad Stuart Hunter, 35, both work in retail. Ellie has a big brother, Harris, who is five and absolutely adores his little sister. The family live in Tamfourhill.

Mum said the pregnancy was rough with nausea and sickness from very early on and lasting throughout. She went into labour after being induced, but once Ellie was born, mum was rushed to theatre after losing 3.4 litres of blood.

Mum and dad couldn’t decide on a girls’ name and mum had a long list of names she liked but she struggled to choose just one. A couple of days after she was born, Dad said their little one looked like an Ellie. Mum agreed – and it was one of the names on her long list – and that’s what they named her. Her middle name Ann is Jennifer’s mum’s name.

Ellie is a happy content wee girl who is always smiling.

Her proud grandparents are Ann and Gordon Snedden and Marjory Richardson.

Mum would like to thank all the doctors, midwives and student midwives at Forth Valley Hospital, adding: “I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them”.
