Bo'ness hairdresser's clients coin in cash for kids' Christmas toys

Customers showed a real sense of style when they helped a Bo’ness hairdresser raise almost £1500 to buy toys for those who need them most this Christmans.

Leah Johnstone and the team at the Linlithgow Road salon Leah Bella’s had been asking clients to make donations to allow them to go out and purchase a ton of toys for the Cash for Kids Christmas Mission and Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital.

Leah’s gran Bunty Kirk, who helped with the endeavour, said: “It started off as just money to buy toys for Cash for Kids, but the clients raised so much we decided to give some to the Sick Kids Hospital too.”

Bunty said and the gang, when they are not cutting and styling hair or doing nails, have been out shopping, spending the generous donations on amazing toys for children – many who would not be getting any presents this year at all.
