Part of Dunelm’s national Delivering Joy campaign, which aims to distribute thousands of gifts across the country to those less fortunate this Christmas, the presents received by residents of Stirling’s Wallace View care home were just one of the deliveries – presents were also taken to local schools, woman’s refuges and other locations.
The presents came from Dunelm customers from all over the Falkirk area who donated 40 shoe boxes full of gifts.

Christmas tree at the front of the Falkirk store, where a staff member provided shoppers with a shoe box to take away, along with a selected tag, to fill with gifts and then bring back to the store by December 11.
The Delivering Joy campaign was launched at the beginning of October as many people across the country have been met with financial hardship this year and continue to isolate in care homes, with many facing the possibility of spending Christmas away from their friends and family.
Dunelm Falkirk store manager Bill King said: “We’ve been absolutely taken back by the support and response we’ve had from our customers – it’s been really heart-

The Delivering Joy campaign was able to go ahead despites the November lockdown and store closures, with generous shoppers logging onto Dunelm’s local Falkirk Community Support Facebook group.
A Falkirk store team member shared details of the tags that had not been claimed over private messages for the local community to then fill shoe boxes with gifts and bring back to store once it reopened at the start of December.
Social distancing and strict hygiene measures continue to operate in all Dunelm stores to ensure the safety of customers and staff including hand sanitiser and clearly marked two metre walkways.
