Keep off the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway tracks!

As the volunteers at Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway start to work towards welcoming visitors back aboard their steam trains, they ask that you give them a wave as they test out the trains as part of their reopening plan - but please do so safely and “Keep Off the Tracks!”

Business development director Amanda Kilburn said “As we get our trains ready to welcome visitors aboard again following the recent announcement of the timetable for easing coronavirus restrictions, we need to run our trains along the track between Bo’ness and Manuel.

“Please do keep to safe paths and use the pedestrian crossings in place along Bo’ness Foreshore and at Kinneil Halt to cross safely.”

She added: "It is not always possible to hear a train approaching you and it cannot suddenly stop or swerve to avoid you like a car can.

“Please stay safe – we’re working hard to welcome you aboard again soon.”
